Do I Have a Lawsuit?from Lawsuit Watch

Check the boxes that happened to you.

This list shows which open lawsuits and injury claims usually cover what you check, and what a lawyer would ask next. It is free. Nothing you check leaves this page.

It does not decide whether you have a case. Only a lawyer can do that.

    1. Pick what is wrong, what happened, or what was done to you or your child.
    2. See the open lawsuits and claims that usually cover it, with their current status.
    3. Answer a few yes or no questions for the one you care about.
    4. Get a plain answer: fits the usual pattern, needs a lawyer's review, or not a fit for that one.

    Where the list comes from

The lawsuits and their status come from TortIntel, which tracks mass torts from court dockets, FDA and Federal Register notices, published studies and news. A lawsuit that has closed to new clients is never offered as open. Car accidents and other injury claims are always on the list, because they do not open and close.

The screening questions are the ones lawyers usually start with. They are a guide, not a rule. People outside the usual pattern still get a lawyer's review, because the pattern is not the whole story.

If you or someone you love is in danger right now, call 911. For thoughts of suicide or self-harm, call or text 988. For sexual assault, the RAINN hotline is 1-800-656-4673.
